Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't ICE SOCCER use a regular ball?

  1. On ice a round air-filled ball travels too far and too fast when kicked while players run much slower. Catching up to a ball causes too many interruptions in the flow of the game. In short, a ball goes faster than the players can keep up with… too fast for sustainable play. The Boot'r is designed to travel at a speed conducive to play on ice.
  2. A ball has too small of a sweet spot to control well with the kicking motions players can use on ice. The sweet spot of a Bootr is substantial.
  3. Balls are too active for smaller playing areas or ice arenas and are often kicked too high or too wide in play.
