ICE SOCCER™ In Play:
Some
written comments from the players:
"awesome time," "great time playing it,"
"challenging and fun," "great game,"
"good physical workout," "sport will be
a hit in time," "a competitive sport
with a fun, laughable edge to it,"
"great activity for groups and parties,"
"a ton of fun," " very competitive, and
you don't have to be a pro-athlete to
play it"
A
trial scrimmage
was played on February 20, 2005 at
Colgate University
an upstate New York (Division 1)
liberal arts school. Play was
between two intramural soccer teams. In a
post-game written questionnaire,
players were asked to rate the “Fun
Factor” of ICE SOCCER on a
10-point-high scale. The lowest
score (by only one player) was an
8.5; the next lowest (again, by only
one player) was 9.5 – all others
were 10.0

Another trial game was held on October
3, 2005 at the Compuware Ice Arena in
Plymouth, Michigan. The varsity
ice hockey team from the University
of Detroit Jesuit High School
split into two ICE SOCCER teams
for this play. Again post-game written
evaluations were overwhelmingly
positive. Ten of the 17 players who
rated the "Fun Factor" of the game
rated it a score of 9 or higher(10-
point high scale); five others rated it
8 or 8.5. The players' written comments
(and the two lower ratings of 6 and 7)
suggested that more speed (even though ICE SOCCER is plenty fast, but
granted, not as fast as hockey) and more
physical contact (expected from devoted,
hard-hitting hockey players) would have
resulted in even higher ratings.
